My First Muslin

I worked really hard yesterday to get the muslin done for my Amy Butler tunic dress. This morning (featuring yet another cat alarm) I put it on and marked my darts. I haven’t done darts in several years so I was worried, but once I sewed them this baby fits like a glove! I decided not to take in the waist – I like a little room. Here are my front and back darts:

Now I just need to copy the darts onto the front and back facings and I will be ready to cut into the pink polka dot loveliness! Thank goodness I had the forethought to prewash it yesterday.

Happy sewing,
