Prince Charming Purse

After some hiccups (Why won’t this tube turn right side out? What do you mean I ran out of white thread?) I finally finished the bag! I’m really liking the patchwork quality.

Finally a purse that matches my coral wall (okay, a bit of a stretch but work with me here). All the fabric is from the Prince Charming collection by Tula Pink, with the exception of the strap. Because I used a fat quarter collection, I needed a larger piece for the strap than was available. I lucked out with my stash and used an aqua print left over from a diaper bag (if I knew how to link a previous post, I would).

All in all, I’m excited with the results. I think this one might make it into my Etsy shop.

Happy sewing,

  1. I love this. I’d be tempted to buy it if it weren’t for the fact that I should be sewing things like this myself 🙂

I like this bag! Did you make up the pattern yourself or did you follow a pattern/tutorial? I’m thinking of making myself a purse out of some leftover fabric and I’m trying to decide on a design.

    • This design isn’t mine, it’s from a pattern I picked up on clearance a while back. I’m trying to move towards only carrying my own stuff. I have a smaller purse pattern in the works that I’ll add once I get the kinks straightened out.
